I just realized the Can Am/BRP textile jacket I have only has elbow armor. There are insertion slots for shoulder and back armor.

Is it advisable to add this armor?

Any recommendations as to where to purchase it from? It appears that BRP doesn't list any in their riding accessories.

I'm a bit flustered, since the jacket wasn't inexpensive, comparative to other jackets in the same price range which do come with all the bits. I bought it when I picked up the Spyder from the dealer so I could start riding as soon as I got home, so no prior research was done on my part. :banghead:

Well, Zerocool, I'm not actually recommending them, but this is a pretty good price at jackets4bikes:

http://www.jackets4bikes.com/Items/5pc_foamarmor-black-u?&caSKU=5pc_foamarmor-black-u&caTitle=5PC%205-PC%20NEW%20BLACK%20CE%20ARMOR%20for%20MOTORCYCLE%2 0BIKE%20JACKETS

Remember, some rigid armor like

has CE approval (like DOT or Snell in the US for helmets) so they might offer some extra protection over foam inserts.
