What exactly does it mean when a dealer is BRP Gold Certified?

That they haven't quite reached the platinum level yet.

I spent the last five minutes trying to find an answer to this question. I came up with nothing. You can search for dealers by Platinum rating and if you search but don't limit to Platinum you will see Gold and Certified Dealers. You can't click on any of the designations and I didn't see this in their FAQ section either.

But I do know that here in Las Vegas the Platinum dealer knows about Spyders, has certified technicians and are also nice people to deal with. The Gold dealer will tell you that the Spyder will go 200 mph because the speedometer goes to 200, has a lousy service department and their sales staff generally can't be bothered to acknowledge you when you walk in the door. The "Certified" dealer doesn't sell Spyders and may not even be in business at all.

And then there are the copper and zinc dealers. :roflblack:

My dealer told me it had to do with how many :spyder2:'s they purchased from BRP, how much inventory they stocked, factory training for technicians, and how much BRP, official shop equipment they had.

I think Spyder Ann is right on with her description of a gold dealer.
