Ordered OEM heated grips for my ST-S and installed them. Installation went alright except I broke a screw on the right hand handlebar. Had enough to get a set of needle nose pliers on same but they must have put cement in there when it came from the factory. So instead of attempting to drill it out which would cause more damage so just ordered the handlebar tube....luckily only 35.00 bucks...thought here I go...another 200 bucks....but what a relief. The connectors were a little difficult to fine on the main wiring harness as they were a lot farther toward the front of the bike than what I thought they would be. Hoping to have the handlebar tube and warm hands by the weekend. Directions were easy to follow.

Directions were easy to follow.

Did this last weekend too. I had trouble getting the handlebar cover back on the left side underneath. Had to work around the Clutch Lever (its a SM5). Other than that they have worked well now that we have cooler weather.

Enjoy them.

Certainly enjoying the heated grips too on our STS now the weather is getting cooler. :ohyea: Definitely a great option to have if you intend to ride during cold weather.

I put Bikemaster heated grips on my 09GS and they just hook to the battery with 5 levels of heat. They work Great and are Just as effective as the stock heated grips on my RT If Not Better!!! Cost $50 and Motorcyclesuperstore.

I did the Polly Heaters for snowmobiles last winter on my spyder. They install inside the bar so there are no visible wires. Super happy with these. They work great and are about $50 complete.

Any pics of where the harness plugs in? At least I now have a general idea where to look. The pics in the manual are not helpful.
Got too dark tonight to see under the tupperware.

Old posts, but does anyone have a process for installation? Either factory or aftermarket, photos?

Thanks,
