so i just paid the bill for the air vents and the lower vents and block off plates, it came out to 1285.00 shipped but not painted, i ordered the paint today from touch up direct, it is a 3 stage paint and that came to 300.00 dollars. so when the parts get here i will fit them first drilling the holes and what ever else i need to do than go to a body shop with the parts and paint and have them paint it for me, god only know how much that will be

Hate to be the one to tell you but some have reported those make no difference in heat. Those front vents were made to let the heat rise out not intake air. Good luck though keep us posted on the effect they have.

I have seen those and I feel they will help! While moving forward they should force a huge amount of air in and down over the engine. If my dealer and BRP don't get something done this may be an option?

i really hope so, you have to buy the paint from a outside vender because BRP is not selling the paint. gotta love a good company

That is pretty normal. Ford, GM, Toyota and Honda do not sell paint either. Ford uses mostly PPG and BASF as OEM and both are available through automotive paint supply houses. The Quantum Blue is a dead ringer for the Deep Impact blue on my wife's explorer and my pickup. Close enough that the touch up paint works fine. You just need the paint code for the color and a good body shop with a PPG color match system should be able to mix a pint. Without the code, they can use a color scan and duplicate from that but it make take a few tries to get it perfect.

the yellow on the spyder is a 3 stage color system and a ppg dealer said he would not be able to scan it and come up with a exact match so i got the paint from touch up direct, they have the 3 stage setup for it. and can am will not give the paint code to my dealer

see now i am confused because when i called the dealer and gave him the b-349 that i found he called brp and they said that was not the paint code, but either way i got the paint on it's way from touch up direct

That is from the 2013 service manual  I have come to take what the "dealer says" with a grain of salt. I would have called BRP directly just to double check but then again they usually refer you to the dealer:banghead: Suffice to say I would call one of the 2 more recommended dealers Pitbull and Cowtown.

even gerry from verika trykes asked me for the ppg paint formula because he wanted to paint the parts for me and he said his ppg dealer had no code for them. WHO KNOWS
