I would like to change my Spyder RT-S SE5 2010 Model Front Hood

I am currently looking at one in the same colour as mine Timeless Black but it states its for a 2011 Model with a BRP Part no of 705005401

I have checked the BRP Parts list and for the 2010 Model it states 2 Part Nos for the Front Hood in Timeless black
Produced before Feb 1st 2010 Part No 705004529 or Front Hood in Timeless black
Produced After Feb 1st 2010 Part No 705003588

My Spyder was imported into the UK in June 2010 it has the model VIN No 2BXJBFC13AV000448 so I am not sure the date of production
It was a Spyder Premier Edition with the No 448

How can I find out the date of production either before or after Feb 2010
Anyone know if the 2011 Front Hood would fit my current model or has there been changes to it which will stop me being able to fit it

Thanks

Eddie,
When you got your Spyder; what documentation did you get as the owner?
Over here; we get a "title" for the vehicle. That document is preduced when the licensing agency is given the "Manufacturer's Statement of Origin".
Both documents will show a date of production on them...
I hope that this helps... ;)

My production date is on the VIN sticker on the left side swingarm. Mine is 4/2013

There have been a couple of threads on where to find the production date on your Spyder. Try typing "Born on date" in the thread search function on the forum. On my '10 RTS, I think I found my prod. date by shining a flashlight through the little vent on the left side under the mirror.

Thanks found the date as shown above mine is 03/2010

Ref the registration document we require in the UK - it has the date it's first imported which was June 2010 but it does not show the BRP Date of production

At least that has cleared up that question -Thanks for the help
