I guess i'm one of the "lucky" ones, 2013 rt 3270 miles and no heat issues. had the recall, no melting, been on long trips with back to back fill ups and no more heat than you would get riding a Harley. I do think that there needs to be more air movement under the skin to keep the hoses and such from going south. I was looking at chrome marine cowl vents, about three of them to each side. they have small ones that aren't to obnoxious looking and have an inch or so opening. also was thinking of adding louvered soffit vents { 2 inch} to the belly pans for exit air. WHAT DO THINK--:dontknow::dontknow:

I'm thinking of removing my fog lights and putting in a set of factory vents back in their place. (If I keep the bike that is) I think these vents will shove in a huge amount of air and put it in the right place for pushing the heat down and out the rear.

actually I was wrong--it is marine clamshell vents, not cowl vents. clamshell vents have a lower profile, I would post a picture, but I don't have a clue how to do it--{older generation } when I get it done i'll get one of the neighborhood kids to post a picture !

looks like it could work nicely. How much water would get under there in the rain..?? Thinking on the electrical and possible steaming..should work fine...

the botom pan should be left off to let heat go out the bottom not just holes put in them.and maby a small turbo fan to help the heat go out faster.:chat:

Some RS owners have been doing something like this for years.... Just ask Lamont!
