I am also wondering the same! Wonder what they will be offering for a 2012 RT Ltd.?? :) Trade in or sell privately? Not sure what to do.....

I was told $12000 friday morning for my 2011 RT SM5....... I was also told that this price will most likely dump even more once the 14s are out......

I purchased a 2013 RT Limited back in July. paid almost 32000 for it after taxes and such. Like the bike although it has it flaws such as brakes failing at 78 miles due to bad master cylinder. never got to see the old one but now thinking it may have melted. Got the recall letter last week. now has 712 miles and was going to get it serviced while getting recall done. Front end vibrates starting at 48mph to about 53mph. dealer thought it might be normal. The real shocker came last week when they offered 20,418 for trade in value and that was only good to the end of the month. Seems they had heard that the value was going to be revised down quite a bit due to a major new design of the 2014 model. This was them going by the NADA book I think. Got me pretty disappointed and rethinking this whole Spyder experience, DON

As I posted on another thread today, I had this same problem with vibration at 48 to 50--53 MPH. The dealer replaced both of my front tires. It corrected the problem. You might want to try this. I bought a 2013 RTS. Normal. NO!! My dealer told me it was not bad. That they would vibrate a little. On a scale of 1 to 30, mine was about a 22. This is my second Spyder, so I knew this was not true. Good luck.

I have a friend who went to the local dealer for a '14, and was offered $9,400 for his 2010 RTS SE5, with lots of farkles, and 7K on the clock. He stopped by the Hardley dealer on the way home, and they offered him a straight swap for a new (13) V-rod, so he's back on two wheels…..

Interesting trade in prices popping up. We are going to find out which dealers are very mercenary indeed. I would avoid the crooks like the plague.

KBB shows a TRADE IN PRICE of 2010 RT for around $13K. Premier editions slightly higher--$14K. Remember farkles count for 50% or LESS of value--some places discount them all together. If you have farkles, its probably best to sell them for about 50% rather than let them go for free on a trade in.

The dealer needs to make at least a thousand or two to stay in business. Those that are going for $5000 or more--well--I have said, watch out for them.

The biggest hits will be 2013 for 2014's because of the current issues being broadcast on a continuous basis.

If the 2014's pan out as advertised--that is also going to make used RT's less desirable. Time will tell. I am still predicting a sellers (dealers) market on trades.

Keep in mind that Kelly Blue Book doesn't mean squat to a dealer they use the black book same as us car dealers do. Considerable value differences. DON

A good running farkled 2010 might be worth more that a 2013 on trade,:yikes:
I'm still on the boat about a trade, the wife already said "do it" but I'm the one on the fence. They don't have blue so I guess I could have my 622 trailer painted.

No one said that KBB was "THE" book to rely on. It is merely "A" source (of many) to get information from. The gist of the thread is to shop around and be careful--prices are going to be all over the place for many different reasons.

Or.... get a new trailer as well. I am sure you could sell you used one.
