Saw a topic about throwing a 2014 RT engine into a 2013 RT but what I would to know is can you convert a RT to a ST? I don't want the back, etc and wish BRP would've just offered a ST with the same engine.

The bodywork is so integrated that I'd have to call this one a, "You can't get there from here" exercise...
Removing the RT's tailpiece would leave you with fabricating all kinds of bodywork...
...and taillights, brakelights, turnsignals...

I also doubt that you could even shoehorn the Triple under the ST's bodywork if you tried to tackle it from that angle...

Thanks - I don't want to drop $$$ on a 14 if the 15 will have the new engine.

There is no guarantee that the 15s will have the new engine, just a good guess.

I'm almost 41 and would prefer a ST but might end up buying a RT-S.

Hey I am only 49 but I would only ride a RT. Wife has to much stuff to take.

Don't ever take her past an antique store on it; you'll end up with a 622 in tow in no time! :D

2014 RT SE 6 1330
2015 RT SE 6 1500
2016 RT SE 6 1600

Now tell me which one would you rather have?

I don't think that there'll be that much improvement in successive years. They've got other irons in the fire as well...

I agree, if you listen to some of the new BRP videos pertaining to the 2014 RT, they mention the modified frame to accomodate the new engine.

One more point, the 3 cylinder and 6 speed transmission alone must sell between $ 5000.00 to $ 7500.00 if not more, I think I would wait.

The Vee-Twins are, I believe; about $8500...

38 here. I stared my Spyder adventure on an RT and was thinking about an RS-S but I enjoy the RT way too much.

:agree: :roflblack::roflblack:

My prediction for 2014 was wrong because I said no new engine--just color and fascia changes.

Would you like me to predict for 2015 about triples for the ST? Maybe that will help the process. :roflblack::roflblack:
