I have seen comments regarding 2013 Spyders. Stating they have several issues ! I have a RT Limited and have not had any probrlems 11000 miles . The only time I have had a heat issue was when I was stuck on traffic and could not get out of 1st gear (: is there realy an issue with the 2013's ?????

Are there issues out there? Sure there are. I glean from your question that you are concerned. If you aren't having any, I'd say you fall in the catagory of 99% of the 2013 spyder owners who aren't having any.

A lot of issues have been posted about the 2013's. If yours is running well, I would not let that be a cause to worry. That's a good thing.

I'm looking forward to not having any issues.

Especially being that this is my first motorcycle ever.

I would think that with 11000 on the clock you'd be past any of the new machine teething problems. You might check with your dealer and see if there are any recalls or updates due on it. Smile and ride happy.

Ride safe,

Only issue I've had was a problem with the radio.

No problems with my 2013 RT. Like anything manmade it is not going to be perfect and there will be some bad apples which is why there are warranties. Even Honda the reliabiliy king had to recall some Goldwings a few years ago because of brake fires.

No problems with my 2013 RS-S in the first 1000 miles. Well except I would like to have about 50 more horsepower...lol But who wouldn't.

No real problems with my 2013 RS. I had a little heat issue on the left side that I fixed with some real heat barrier. Other than that 1800 miles of pure pleasure!!

I think if you took all the Spyder's sold vs all the ones that have problems, you would find there is a small percentage of problem bike's. On a sight like this you will hear a lot of problems being discussed, and that's a good thing, because there are many good folks here to help, and a lot of smart after market folks that take advantage of a design flaw or fault.

having been a mechanic I can remember short Cummings for a lot of vehicles. Anything mechanical can give you fits. Proper maint. can reduce or spotlight any issues.

:agree: It seems like there might be a lot of issues; but since they're getting reported in here by folks who are looking for solutions, they may appear to be larger in the mirror than they are in reality ...
...I hope!

The only problem with my 2013 RT-S was a broken Heim Joint, but that part was already on recall. I did have some stalling issues when stopped, but that has disappeared just as others said it would once the motor broke in. I'm at 2200 miles right now and it is running perfect.
