Here is a link to the rally that is being planned as we speak in sunny Myrtle Beach in May 2014 May 2-May 10th .more details will come but the hotel or camping supporters are listed and our local BRP dealer Redline is going to help too. The Myrtle Beach Speedway will host the beginning the event there will be May 2nd - May 5th / the rest of the week May- 6th - 10th there will be other activities such as Pelican Ball park, Pier Party, Casino Boat, Tours etc. 150 Spyders are already signed up. It is a free event for all to attend. I will be there.

This is right around the time of Spyderfest, sorry i won't be able to attend.

This could be a great idea but the timing is bad. :lecturef_smilie:

Was the timing deliberate??? :dontknow:

No it was so it did not coincide with Harley and Black Bike Weeks but it would be a good follow on going from one to the other. Spyderfest is the week before (but that is not official). To me the more choices the better just glad to see more events myself. It is like a box of chocolates.

We are signed up for the Myrtle Beach gathering. To me it is great to have choices and having this event gives us one more option.

And being retired it is easy to make as many events as there are scheduled.

I agree, the more events the better and i would love to attend this one but i still have to work to put gas in my spyder and i know a lot of the other people have a hard time taking that much time off in a row. Good luck with the event and i hope it works out great for everyone that is able to attend.

Chances are better for no rain at Myrtle Beach. We all know that in the Midwest in April there's almost a guarantee it will rain daily.

Discussion about events is good. I hope you will all keep it amiable this go around. I believe a similar thread got locked down because it got pretty intense. :chat:

Not being sarcastic intentionally, but not every question on this forum has to be answered with these type of response. Only looking for dates and where....Can someone else answer the question of where and when will the Spyderfest be held? Thanks

What Yazz said. The date has not been announced. Usually around the third week of April.

Not sure if we're going to Myrtle Beach. I'll wait until it gets closer. We're only 2 1/2 hours away.

The more Events the better. I am signed up, and plan on going. We usually hit Myrtle once or twice a year as it is close. The mid west is a long haul for us.

We called today to make reservations at the "supporting campground" because I need a very large spot for my rig and they didn't know anything about this event. They took $100.00 deposit and said that they would send an invoice after the first of the year (2014) once they knew what the prices would be for the year. Dunno, but they sound a little unorganized. Hope I am not going to regret this. Thought they would have had a group rate or something.

I will probably be there. I would like to go to Spyderfest, but it is a long haul from here, and the timing sucks for me, being so close to the end of the month. It is really difficult for me to take off from work, as we have to do end of month processing, and I would not be back in time. The MB rally is much more doable, both in terms of travel time and timing.

I met the organizers in person during bike week this year, and they seem like nice folks. I got the impression that they purchased their Spyder and began to plan their rally, unaware of existing rallies. I don't think they even knew about SL until later.

Regardless, I just plan to go to MB, drama free. Events are for fun, not animosity.

I've been thinking on this thread. I've made a decision that if I go to any event this coming year around that time, it will be Myrtle Beach. I plan on allowing for 10 days just as I did with Spyderfest and the Owner's Event this year. This will give me plenty of time to see the Eastern Seaboard and some of the interesting cities along the way and in the area.
