Does anyone own the RIVCO Flag holders --the ones that mount in the trunk lip?

IF so, do you own the BRP Travel Cover? If so, does it still work with the flags installed?

I'd hate to have to remove the flags for each ryde.

The license plate one by another company I am not sold upon due to wanting to make darn sure my brake lights are visible to other drivers.

Thanks!

They will not work with the BRP half cover unless you cut two holes in the cover for them to fit through like the antenna. As I paid a lot of money for the half cover I am not willing to put holes in it. I also do not like the poles that go on the license plate. I have been looking for the fold down flag poles for the can am like they have for the Gold Wing but so far no luck. So for now I do not have flags on the bike. :dg2:

The tall ISCi license mounts/flags are inboard and above the tail/brake lights I am not sure about where the BRP cover goes. I bought a part cover from somebody on here bevfore Spyderfeast. They were going to be at Spyderfeast. I was not able to attend. I think it was called Shade cover or something. Anybody help. It does not quite cover the the factory attennas.

I just installed the RIVCO flag holder and also have the travel cover for my RT. I now carry a 7/16th wrench to remove the flag poles if needed. How often would this be an issue, once or twice a year maybe. The bigger problem are the plastic clips that hold the flag. After a 100 mile ride on Friday I have already lost one, however the answer is simple. I added a 7/16th nut and flat washer that I drilled a small hole into, this allows me to tie the flag to the washer.

I too had 2 clips part company while on the road to DC for Rolling Thunder. The other 2 held the flags up for the rest of the trip. On returning home I picked up some stainless steel washers that just fit the poles along with some "O" rings that are a tight fit on the poles I put an "O" ring on at the bottom of the flag, followed by a washer, followed by a second "O" ring. Been almost 1000 miles since and they haven,t budged. I don't have the BRP travel cover and right now I cant think of the brand, but it's a guy's name. Anyway I just pull it down over the trunk to the flag holders it's got tight enoug elastic that it stay on that way.

I also found that I had to use a little blue Locktight on the upper nut (ferul?) to keep them from loosening up. Rough streets and roads around here.

Ride safe,

Lol..........my wife and I were in Toledo on our holiday break leaving some money at your casino. We noticed the streets...........OMG they are in pretty tough shape. We were glad we had the Jeep as some of the holes were pretty deep thought we might need "4 Low" to pull ourselves out. :joke: :joke:
