If your looking for some extra storage without pulling a trailer this might be an option for you? A simple DIY project that only takes a couple of hours to build. I put some photos and instructions together however the file is too big to load up on this string. Flip me your email and I will send my notes. I just did a test run with my wife 1800 kms through the mountains and it easily carried all our cold /wet weather riding gear allowing us to enjoy the warm 30 degree C sun. Love my RT. Marty

Nice but this brings up a question. There is a weight limit for the trunk. Adding more weight to the rear like that, isn't that a problem?
I would think whatever the tongue weight of the 622 trailer is, this should be the limit for this idea too?

You could probably shave a few pounds by using wood. If I had a hitch I'd have to make one just for heck of it. :D

Yes Bob, stick to recommended hitch weight of the trailer and things should be fine. No problems yet with a few thousand kms loaded with cold weather gear.

:2thumbs: Would you send me your pictures and instructions. dseiter3349@Yahoo.com . I have pulled a trailers for many years (30+) on my wings. We don't travel as often or as much so, I can not justify the money for two or three trips a year, the hitch bag set-up seems to be exactly what we need for a little extra carrying space. Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks in advance for your help/ideas. (This is my second message I have sent, last one was yesterday Wed 4-30, don't know if you got it or someone else,(I am not that good on a computer) that is why I tried the private message this time.)

Will a BRP trailer hitch fit on an F3S? This platform/ bag idea could solve the problem for F3 owners who want to tour but don't want to void the warranty by pulling a trailer. No wring harness needed either!

Nope... F3 has a totally different swing arm. I am sure BRP will release a hitch for the F3 it's just a matter of when.

It looks good low enough not to hide tour Plate from the officers of the law. When you have time I would like to see your plans that you designed. I would also like to know what brand of hitch that you used. Thank you in advance for your time. AH-NO-1 Dave, MI.:2thumbs: dseiter3349@Yahoo.com
