I got a letter from BRP today...
Apparently; I'm such a "valued customer", that they want me to buy a new 2011, 2012, 0r 2013 roadster... :2thumbs:
Here's where they sweeten the pie a bit...
I'd get $2000 off, on a 2011 or 2012 RT ($1,000 off on the RS models)
PLUS
They'll cover my payments until Labor Day...
PLUS
I can get another $225 off if I buy $1,200 in accessories

here's my question:
What if I finance the new bike for just a year... They'll pay 3 of the 12 payments???
Since mine is on the trailer anyway... What do you guys think?

Gee Bob... thought you were good with numbers... especially when you have to double check with your wife!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
If you DO go for it... we want pics... not of the new :spyder2: but of the wife's response!nojoke

Welll.... :opps:
If I told you what her response was; Lamont would ban me in about half-a-heartbeat! nojoke

That is why the request for pics would be a lot "tamer" than words!;)

I know that the phrase "It is better to ask for forgiveness than permission" is a no-no in your house, but sometimes waters can be tested...

Trust me on this point... nojoke
I know the EXACT length of the short leash that I'm on...
She doesn't negotiate... :yikes:

But then; I have earned this situation from prior misdeeds... ;) And the ones that she knows about are only a very small part of what I've pulled off! :roflblack:

Read the SMALL print- They will allow you a $325 Credit for 2 months if its Financed for 7.9% for 84 months and the balance is about $20,000??? Still interested - the repayment of the 2 months May take 6-8 weeks or More to process and you STILL make your payments until you recieve the check.:lecturef_smilie: At 7.9% for 8 years they should give you $3000 credit?:roflblack:

I also got the same letter and promptly filed it so as not to be in the same dilemma as Bob.

We talked about this a couple weeks or so ago. Nice deals--but nothing is free. They get you on the interest. A 84 month contract ties up your money for a long time. If they come up with a new whiz-bang :spyder2: in a couple years or so--then you are upside down on the current loan unless you have paid ahead or put down a very large down payment.

Dealer offered financing is usually not a good idea unless they offer a free rate if you pay it off within a specified time. I bought my last two Kawi"s that way. Finanancd them for a couple years, and paid zero interest.

Kris and i each received the same letter. It went in the round file. Heck, I can't afford to go to the owners event at this point. We sure as :cus: can't afford to spend that kind of money on a new Spyder/accessories/clothing. Can't blame BRP for trying though. I get similar offers from GM wanting me to trade up to a newer model.

Yeah ... After much gnashing of the teeth, and perhaps a tear or two; it went in my round file also! :gaah:

But... I had to look over the possiblities with an open mind! :D

I got the same letter. I like what I have and it's paid for.
Now for the life of me, I can't figure out how I got on the BRP emailing list for their off road products and sales? The only product I own is the Spyder.

That ONE BRP product, is all that it takes... :roflblack:

Didn't get the letter... I guess because I already upgraded! I would like some deep farkle discounts...

I get letters from Honda, Acura and occasionally Toyota. All telling me they could buy my vehicle (and past since I sold the Acura over 3 years ago and the Tundra 1.5 years ago) at top dollar to trade up into a 2013 or 14 at 0.9% interest! I think we'll pass...nojoke
