For all you guys who love Flying. This is one story from WWll that I got from an old friend I grew up with and dreamed about someday becoming a fighter pilot. His dream came true and retired as Colonel flying the F/A-18 for the USMC. To pay for college he first did 4 years in the Navy enlisting in 1969 than after college he re-enlisted in the Marines and applied for flight school.

San Bernardino, mentioned early in the clip was home to Norton AFB. Now Closed. Discharged there after Nam.

Really enjoyed watching this piece of personal and aviation history.

Thanks.

Norton was one of the best kept secrets in the AF.

Your all welcome and I'll post more as I get them from my friend. I did mention to him that now he has to find a spitfire to fly as the pilot mentioned "every pilot should experience flying a spitfire". Getting his message back with a laugh he said, he would love to fly any one of the WWII fighters.
