I like the "fresh" approach to an existing idea. They are also uniquely yours..................combine those with an "Oak" dash trim kit from Pete and you have a theme to some degree that will tie together?

A suggestion to put some kind of clear grippy coating on it, or your feet will keep sliding off them, especially when wet.

The grippy coating is a good idea but somehow I don't think you'll be riding in the rain! They look cool.

Very nice. I like the contrast between high tech and old world. Looks great.

A dash of silica sand in the varnish?

Also like the Oak dash idea

Oh and replace those hex head bolts with round head Allen bolts, your shoes will thank you.

They looks awesome, and original and very exclusive. If I can suggest, can you sink the mounting bolts and

plug them afterward?

How did you mount the aft mounting? Did you have insulation rubber like the front one? I made mine with

1/4 " aluminum diamond plate. I got pictures but unable to post sorry; Love to share them to all.

If you plasti dip them with clear plasti dip you would protect them, they would be less slick and you could remove the dip when you wanted to.

I'm a woodworker at heart and you have done an absolutely beautiful job.

My only observation is that they are going to be tricky to maintain with the abrasive road grit and such.

:agree: They look great. I too was wondering how they are going to stand up to the elements, the foot scuffing, etc. Hope they last well. The upside though--you may get a chance to do redo your project every once in a while. That is the fun of woodworking.

Beautiful. I like the idea a lot, Any chance you could get a picture of rear bracket. Did you do anything to the brake pedal? Just read somewhere that boards can cause trouble with the pedal not going low enough.

were you working from a pattern, or did you free hand them. They look fabulous and something I wouldn't mind fabricating for my bike, if you don't mind my borrowing your idea.

Thanks. This is something that I'd really like to try. The wood working part I feel I could do, the bracket is another thing, but I think I can find a way. What the hell, nothing ventured, nothing gained...

Definately a unique look, but not something I'd use.
