Darn: You have messed up my next April Fools Day posting. I had a lot of people going with the introduction of the Spyder Hybrid for public sale this year. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

If you could take the spyder platform and equip it with anything you wanted. How would you do it?

I haven't taken the plunge simply because my better half says its too much money for a toy, simple as that. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

My object of obsession for the moment is a black ST-SE5. I rode one for the cone ride and a rode a black currant ST-Limited for my road ride last week at a Can AM demo event at ASK in Columbus. It was fun to say the least. I have to be perfectly honest about the ST-Limited. It felt squirrely to me. I have no previous experience to base that on. (ball joints maybe?)

If I could take a Spyder platform and money were no object, I would have a Goldwing engine.

The Spyder concept is brilliant though. It is going through an evolutionary process right now that I hope results in a legendary platform like the Goldwing. Honda has had around 38 years to get it right.

Hannigan (http://thekneeslider.com/honda-gold-wing-quad-from-hannigan-motorsports/) makes a two wheel kit for the GL1800, here is a photo of it with their trike kit also installed.

Edit: interesting part of the link

Although the front end could be put on the front of a standard Gold Wing to create a reverse trike and get around any legal issues, they found the position of the wheels created a slightly unstable setup which they still have to work on a bit so for now, the quad is the only option. The Can Am Spyder, in comparison, has the front wheels much further back compared to this setup and Dave is considering several ideas to get everything right.

Thanks for the links! I had heard some rumblings about this about six months ago, but neglected to grab any links to it... :opps:
I think that i still prefer the classic lines of the Ace Morgan though.

Does anyone know when the reverse will be available on the Honda Metropolitan?

I'm thinking about trading my Spyder for one but I need reverse.

Just roll off a downhill... Saves on fuel too!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

What the heck... Ok, all I know is its a VW front end 15" tires. Steering column out of a 94 infinity. And he kept the tilt mechanism in tact so he has adjustable handlebars. Oh yea, built on an 83 GL 1100

Saw the other night on American Pickers that they bought a front triked out Honda Scooter. I only saw a quick glimps of it, bought for $400 and sold for $650 (I think). But I'm not sure if that was a re-run or a new episode. I've been looking for pics but nothing except Goldwings.
