I got Lamont's highway pegs installed by Spyderpops during Spyderfest '13. As mounted they "faced front, kinda perpendicular to the tires. So, in order to put my feet on them, I had to extend my leg to the side and turn my toes toward the front. Lamont said to just put them in a vise and twist them. So today I took them off, put one in a vise and stuck a wrench into a hole and tried to turn it. No go! http://smileys.emoticonsonly.com/emoticons/p/pouty-1023.gif Then my brother shows up with a http://smileys.emoticonsonly.com/emoticons/h/huge-545.gif adjustable wrench. He rearranged the peg in the vise, gripped it with that big 'ol wrentch and twisted it! I got the pegs back on my Spyder, and they are just right now! http://smileys.emoticonsonly.com/emoticons/r/really_really_good-693.gif

So I ask Bro where he got such a big wrench. Now that the statute of limitations has expired he shared the story.

I live in an Army town. A sergeant of his acquaintance asked Bro if he needed a large wrench, no charge. Bro asked where he got it. Well, the sergeant had asked a private to bring him 2 12-inch wrenches. The private came back to him and said he couldn't find 2 12-inch wrenches, so he got 1 24-inch wrench!

No offense to any military folks here. This was when there was a draft.
