Anyone have much to say about a vented windshield for a 2011 RT. Cost? Is it worth it? Other options for some additional air flow. Gets to be 105-110 on average here in Southern Utah in the summer.

I picked up the 23" vented windshield at SpyderFest and put it on. I like the ability to open and close the vent as needed. I get more air cooling my face but not a blast. I will use the stock windshield in cooler weather.

How much is your comfort worth to you?
I'd have to say that for the price of admssion; it'll give you more airflow.
BUT...
If you're handy, have access to the right tools, and are fearless; you can do the job yourself and save a ton of coin!

I bought the 23" vented shield at Spyderfest for my 2010 RT and 2 days later I traded for a 2013 RT. The 2010 stock windshield was huge so there was definitely a lot more air movement with the smaller 23" one but I never rode the 2013 with the stock shield so I can't say how much different this one is.

I thought the price for the windshield was a little extravagant until I bought the new RT. :yikes:

I had the 25" Vented windshield installed before I picked up my new Spyder and have used it many times. I also had the adjustable wings installed which allows for additional air flow when I need it. They are a little expense but well worth the investment. :dg2:
