I think the big question is where will you be staying? Lots of places to stay but I want to make friends I never had before and meet up with friends I haven't seen in a while.

Jim, Ivorspyder/Ivor has reserved the entire Comfort Inn in Maggie Valley at a discounted rate. I think all you have to do is to call them and mention Ivorspyder's name and the fact that you're attending the event.

Comfort Inn (Formerly Jamison Inn) was the host hotel last year..Virtually every room was from Spyder owners.

We'll be at the Travelowes Motel, which is very close to the fairgrounds. I think right next door to the Comfort Inn, but was half the price when we made reservations. Most likely, you will have a difficult time finding a room in Maggie Valley, but I could be wrong.

Tried Microtel, Travelowes, and Comfort...nothing available. Are ya'll checking in on the 12th and out on the 14th?
Guess I need to check for more motels.

Checking in on the 12th and out on the 15th. On the morning of the 15th, drive to Lamont's for the BBQ and stay over near there.

I just booked at the Smoky Falls Lodge, 3/10 mile from the festival grounds. I had booked a cabin at Creekwood Farms RV Park, but decided to move closer to the action - a lesson learned at Spyderfest.

Then I will stay at the Day's Inn in Greeneville, TN, after the BBQ.

GF and I ended up renting a house via HomeAway. We've never been to the area before, so we're going to turn the event into a long weekend. Even better, we've got (non-riding) friends joining us that weekend, they'll be bringing their kids down and staying the entire week after.

Looking forward to enjoying all the area has to offer, and making plenty of new Spyder-riding friends! :2thumbs:
