I like it!. How does the dog like it? He / she seems to be doing fine. Now if I can convince dltang to let me get the small - medium sized dog that would fit in there. ;D Can you tell me more technical stuff like who makes that bag / carrier, is the dog strapped in, does it have a hard bottom, etc.?

That video is really cool!

It looks like your dog is the co-pilot....like snoopy! He's relaxed and taking it easy. I love those doggie goggles! :doorag:

Now that's one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile. We have an AMSTAFF that loves to ride on the ATV's, with us. I think she would love one of these.

Awesome Job!!

Hi Guys-

That's me (Karla) on the spyder, & Gulliver riding in the crate. We got the crate at Petco. Dave (a.k.a. Crozb & hubby) attached a lead for Gulliver onto the frame on the interior of the crate. We just went to Home Depot and got the materials to make the lead, super easy. Gulliver can ride with his head out, or look behind, or decide to lay down and take a nap. The crate is 'soft' in that it's like a canvas kind of material. The bottom is the same material. We just put a doggie bed/pillow in the bottom for him. He gets his picture taken A LOT!!

Hope that answers your questions!

goggles for dogs are called "doggles". If you do a search I'm sure many vendors who sell them will come up.

That is really cool and if Gulliver could talk I am sure he would say you are the coolest owner.

I am thinking the next step is to make him a spot in the trunk with a hole cut out in the trunk cover for his head and maybe a little windshield in front of that so that he wouldn't need the doggles. Just a thought.

I had my girl's dog for the weekend while she was traveling. I did not want to leave him locked up in a kennel on a beautiful weekend, so I had to figure a way for him to ride. I bought a small kennel and strapped it to the back seat. He wanted no part of that. So I bought a harness and an extra leash. I had one leash on my left shoulder going to his collar, and one leash on my right going to the harness. He could not fall past my knees. Stuck his back legs in the tank bag and off we went. He loved it. Now his listens for the Spyder coming to his house. Funny thing is, Carol says he can distinguish from the sound of the Spyder over any of the twin engines that may drive into her complex.

Yes, and I was wondering were to get goggles for dogs them until I read this thread. He will get a pair, but I doubt he will like them. I did end up getting a taller windshield recently, but he hates it. He keeps trying to get to the side of it.

The doggles are a good thing to have, but dogs have their heads out of the car windows all the time with no goggles. The difference being they can pull thier head back into a car. Likewise, Charlie could, and has, put his head down below the sport shield, but rarely. With the taller shield I have now, he always tries to get above or around it, except the last ride home. It was nighttime and a little chilly. He laid down with his head and paws on my throttle hand. Needless to say, it was a slow ride home.;)

Thanks for the tip. Now I know what to get my dog for Christmas besides the endless toys from Costco.
