I just started looking at them and I am leaning towards a 2013 one, because of all the extra features versus the 2012 model. I do not have a trade in either. Thanks for any info derek

I would guess depending on the dealer around 18,000 to 20,000 RS or RSS and options.

I would check out Rusty Palmers in Honesdale, PA Talk to Ron and tell him that Shawn Scott formerly from Binghamton NY referred you. He will take care of getting you the best deal.

Their website is: www.rustypalmer.net

I have purchased my 2011 RSS there along with a 4 wheeler and they were great to deal with.

You need to call Dawn at Ridersville Cycle in Berkley Springs, WV (about 140 miles from you) at 304-258-1449. They have great prices and you'll be a very happy camper!

The SM5 is typically $1500 less than an SE5 in whatever model you choose; at least that's the way it was when I made my purchase back in Jan. 2009. Of course you may already have decided on an SE5.

I want a SE version, because of the semi auto, but I am unsure to get a 2013 or 2012; is the 2013 model worth the possible extra 2-3k that it could costs?

I would defiantly recommend going with the 2013 instead of the 2012. A ton of major improvements and even with the cheaper price on the 2012 the resale value should be better for a year newer.

I am picking up my 3rd spyder this week and decided to switch to the SE5 as I have heard some great reviews of them from other spyder friends and members here.
