Bought mine @ Honda East in Toledo. Picked it up last saturday after the ball joints were replaced. No ride report as it's 21 this AM and snowing. I have a PGR mission on Saturday and plan to ride then.

Don't want the CIA bustin' down my door!

Patriot Guard Rider mission. The oHIo lawmakers approved quite a few Memorial Highways this session (I think it was 24).

PGR = Patriot Guard Riders

Both spydercowboy and I ride with our local chapter here in North Central Texas. We provide escort and respectful flag displays for our fallen hero's (military, police, and fire fighters). Here's a link to the national page: http://www.patriotguard.org (http://www.patriotguard.org)

Note, one does not have "ride" to participate -- cages are welcome too. The key is RESPECT FOR OUR FALLEN.

Best Regards ... Ann

well I bought mine Saturday, March 16th from PitBull Powersports and had Elka's and fog lights installed. Left out of Springfield, MO headed south to out run the cold....ended up in Conway, AR...180 miles.....was doing the 600 mile break in...never got over 65mph...never got in 5th gear....the ST wants to shift close to 7,000rpm's..smooth shifting...smooth sounding...I did alot of get up to 65 mph let go of throttle...trying to set the rings...I was told not to do constant mph....

Sunday I mapped out a route to get some miles....I-40S to 430...I=30W...270W...71N...540...40S...back to Conway...cold and wet all day...but had to get more miles...did the fast slow all day...lots of wind and driving rain...the ST performed perfectly...340 miles

Monday it was time to head make to Springfield...180 miles...total of 700 miles...cold and wet....but ended up cold and sunshine...again fast slow driving...performance perfect....

I first thought the GPS was mounted to low...prefer line of site mounting...but it's going to work out just fine...easy operation of GPS going down the road....hasfat fingerbuttons and keyboard...one dislike..one set of buttons is a-l...next set m-x...next set y-z...seems like a pain...but I got use to it...the screen is more uv friendly..no glare..very visible...easy to use

the seat/saddle...my first thought was too flimsy...seemed to move around when you grabbed it...but ...I don't sit back in the seat...only 5' tall...I tend to sit right up front next to where there should be a glove box or something....(miss having somewhere to keep stuff) but the seat was comfortable...there is still hot air coming up to the seat...knees...but I enjoyed that in the 40 dergee weather...Mark will wrap my pipes and that will help...if you seat back in the seat...I don't think it would bother you....I will install... Mark will install my Corbin...love my gas door...hate having to lift seat to gas up

the radio...is great...easy to operate going down the road...you can hear it sitting still or going through towns...hwy speeds....its just noise....hard to hear...you can buy Bluetooth to help...did not plug in ipod...Mark will install my cb and this little box - PAC - SNI-35 adjustable line output converter...then the sound will come thru my headset in helmet

the Givi bags...stuff goes in OK...getting use to them....wish they were top open....

the trunk is the same...did not notice any difference

have not tested gas mileage yet...but I did stop about every 120 miles to fill-up...same as before and I use to get between 30 -33 we'll see

the handling is great...tight...smooth...fun factor...10+++++....excelleration is great...after 700 miles...oil change and check out wheels for alignment...I rode it a little harder...just fun....you want to go faster...it is just right there with you....it likes cruising between 75 -80...smooth....did some nice sweepers...just want to go faster...can't wait for some twisties

windshield....I can't see over the shield when pulled up to top position....remember I'm 5'...but nice option to be able to adjust for weather conditions.....the air wings need to give more control....we'll see what becomes available

I want more lights in the back and sides...triple play...turn reflectors into lights...etc

forgot the brakes...just barely touch them and they engage...great brakes

now have 1380 miles..love the new ST-Limited....Len at PitBull Powersports is the best...knowledgable...(something most salemen aren't)...takes care of his clients...aka...friends...great service

think that covers it...questions???

Like allot of people, the seat is the issue. It only took a day and a few hundred miles to know that I was getting another seat. It might work for some but not most I would think. My back and shoulders were killing me by the end of a 300+ mile day. First thing I did Monday was order my "Ultimate Seat". I think it's a shame that it's such a nice machine but not too much emphasis seems placed on one of the most important parts and we end up spending hundreds of dollars trying to get comfortable but, if your butts not happy well.....

The upside, it's quick, responsive, has great Brakes (Them Brembo's really grab) Knockout looks. Mileage is up in the air still but if I get better than 25+ I'll be happy. If I want better gas mileage, I'll by a scooter...lol. I want performance and comfort and that it has in spades...(except that :cus: seat) ;)

I bought my 2013 Dyson Vacuum at Walmart on January 6th. It's a little high priced but so far I have had great luck with it. This things runs flawlessly at picking up dirt with no loss of suction. It swivels on a ball which makes manuvering this thing around the chair twisties a blast.

Thanks for asking....

You were talking about 2013 vacuums correct ????? Next time be more specific.......... :roflblack::roflblack::joke:

I bought my 2013 :spyder2: from Volicity Powersports in North Charleston, SC. Great experience both with the sales team and service department. I reported the handling issues to the service department before BRP notified them. The service manager David was all over it. Taking in today for the 600 mile service.

Both my wife and I are extremely happy that we are :spyder2: owners!

[QUOTE=flamingobabe;592290]well I bought mine Saturday, March 16th from PitBull Powersports and had Elka's and fog lights installed.

Thanks for the nice write-up. Sounds like you had previous experience on a Spyder - true? My first riding of a Spyder will happen in about 2 weeks. I am flying to Phoenix in early April and renting a Spyder for a week. If I like it then going to purchase. Assuming the RT-Limited will be the purchase. I will watch for more write-up by you. Thanks again. Roger (Yankton, SD)

Bought my 2013 Black Currant RT-Ltd and RT-622 trailer from Metro Motorsports in Cedar Rapids, IA. They're mainly a Harley shop but they are getting on board with the Spyder. The sales guy, Brian, told me that they had ordered 45 Spyders to sell this year. Good sales experience, and I also met the tech who works on the Spyder's, Jarrod, who seems to be really sharp.

When I purchased the RT, using the excellent information gained from this forum, I told them I would not take delivery of my RT until the steering issues had been fixed. I did send them Lamont's first post concerning the ball-joint replacement. They jumped right on the issue and did replace the ball joints and also did an alignment.

Since I don't have my motorcycle endorsement yet (that'll happen this April), and there's still snow on the ground, Metro delivered my RT and trailer to my house. Metro has been excellent to deal with so far.

Now all I'm waiting for is the snow to melt and for it to warm up so I can put on the farkle's I've ordered and for driveway to dry up so I can practice.

I have a 2013 RT with ELKAs and freshly done ball joints and alignment. Wow it turns on a dime compared to my 2011 with the same setup, I can definitely pull more G's in a turn without feeling like i'm going to lose it. I did switch out to the ultimate seat and that was a very good move. Still wish it didn't exhaust on my foot though, my only big complaint.
