Heat resistant paint is all you need...
No need to spray a primer or to grind.
Comes in several colors (silver-antracit-black)
Protects agains the sun and the GPS is more visible.

I assume from all of the discussion threads on winshields that the tour windshield is being shipped and is not backlogged like the luggage rack/backrest.

No delays on the windshield. You might want to read some of the commentary/reviews on here about it before spending the $ on it...just a thought.

I have seen the numerous comments on how ineffective the tour screen is, but think it looks better than the stock one. As I noted in another discussion, I've spent $$$$ on accessories for my cruiser that add no value other than looks, so if that's all I get for my $200, so be it. Some of the larger ones that actually work look out of place to me. What looks best is a matter of taste and what works best is a matter of rider height, riding style and speed.

:agree:
The touring shield is not better but also not worse then the stock one and definatly looks better, also better to
protect a GPS behind it..
