Lamonster,
Thanks for all the good info. Can you tell me which Micron pipe you are running ? I can get a good deal on these from my distributor.
Thanks,
Bob

That's great especially for putting all together. I have a couple of Questions.
1. now that there is no heat shield on the 90 pipe what are chances of getting burned
or burning melting your shoe on it?
2. Did you by chance notice any difference in gas mileage with any of them?
3. When you test rode the Micron I thought I noticed a little missing as you squeeled the tire. Was I imagining it or was it? :dontknow:

Never had a heat issue or burn problem without the shield.

Right now I'm getting 30+ towing a trailer and I ride it pretty hard even with the trailer.

The cutting out was the VSS or BRP Nanny. ::)

Any of them that have a 2.25 slip-on will work. Can't remember what mine was but I think it was a CBR

30 plus pulling a trailer that sounds pretty good. 8)

Thanks, Lamont--That's quite a musical selection! Perhaps I'll download it to my iPod...

While I'm still considering a pipe change, especially after I get the burn mark, I have to say my stock pipe does not sound like the stock one in the YouTube comparison with the Hindle.

I realize that Spyder is partly in an open garage which changes the acoustics, and that I hear in stereo while the video camera records in mono.

Even all the other videos I've seen and heard (many!) of Spyders with stock pipes don't sound like mine.

Maybe mine just has a hole in it! ;D )

Wow! I just found this thread. Great information, Lamont. By the way....I know you put a new pipe on your Spyder, but did BRP ever resolve the problem with the burn situation?

I didn't really give them the chance. I cut my old pipe apart. ;D

Man, that is some massive burning going on there! I sure hope BRP resolves that issue by the time my Spyder is delivered. I didn't even plan on getting a new pipe.
