A question about trailers.

I'm looking at pull behind motorcycle trailers and would appreciate advice and/or recommendations.
I've found one that looks pretty good, but wondered if anyone has had any experience with this one.

I don't know anything about that trailer but it looks worth trying. I have an xlt Aluma and like that a lot. It also depends on how much you are using it. I have had mine a few years and have used it a few times on short trips.

I actually built and used a Harbor Freight trailer for awhile until I went crazy and bought the BRP trailer. The BRP trailer is great, but you will have to weigh the amount of use you will give it and decide which is best for you. Here is a pic of my Harbor Freight trailer behind my RT. If I was working right now, I would buy it. It is important to get a trailer with tail lights, some only come with reflectors, and then you gotta screw around with them. I am not much of a mechanic, much less an automotive electrician so having the wiring already in place is a good thing for me.

For that price i think you could find a used Can Am trailer the last one i seen was a 2010 for $1,800.00

Yes. I turned it into a 5 wire setup by adding amber turn signals and then only used the factory lights as brake lights and I also added a high mounted third brake light. I had the factory 9 pin wiring on the RT so I used the Pole Harness wiring for a BRP trailer and put it all together. Worked great and no problems. Here is a rear view where you can see the added lights.

That's a nice looking trailer with great access like the BRP trailer has. I would be a little worried about no title. I Illinois we can get a title for a trailer without one if we jump through the right hoops. The MINIUSA trailers come with a title and was very easy to transfer.

No trailer titles for small trailers in Michigan. Each state does things differently. Here, if you don't have a Certificate of Origin, you have to take the trailer to be weighed by a certifed weighmaster, prior to registration.

Looking at this it states not for speeds higher the 55 MPH. How does it handle above 55?

If you were going to use it a lot, this is just me and my opinion only...I would explore getting the BRP trailer that matches. Again, just's me. There have been some cases where the black BRP trailers are sold at a pretty discounted price. With a red bike and black seat, the black trailer would not look bad but if the deal was real good you could always have it painted. Just my two cents.

I never had any issues with the trailer, nor has the person I sold it to. I think the 55 MPH thing is all lawyer talk. I packed the wheel bearings with high speed grease as I built it and had no problems with the bearings or the tires. I doubt I ever towed it above 80 MPH and then not for extended periods so I can't say what might happen with a full load and 80-85 for hours on end.

All I am suggesting is that for the occasional trip it is a viable alternative at a very reasonable cost. It does come with a Mfg. Certificate of Origin so there were zero issues getting it titled in MO.

This trailer is also a import..it is the same trailer sold by 1 motorcycle trailer .com which used to be america's best and several other names.
discount ramps was selling this same trailer and buying from Danny Shockley of america's best but when he wouldn't stand behind his product and then told everybody he makes them, discount ramps just went to importing them themselves..type in danny shockley and see all the bad stuff that comes up, he has also used the name Jason Ellis AKA.
I get calls almost every day about the shockly Brothers products.
People think we have built there trailer and have something that needs fixed. I then have to tell them they have a import.
I think if something happens to the trailer that discount ramps has sold somebody they would take care of the problem..

Discount ramps also sells mini trailer USA products...we have done business with them for about 14 years now, nice group of folks.

Shockley brothers well that's another story.
They have a ton of rip off reports out there and a F at the BBB.

I highly recommend the Aspen Sentry. It has plenty of storage and a queen be to boot! It sets up in two minutes and down in 5. You cannot feel it behind the bike at all.
