I don't need a trailer.I would like to have a place to put a two six pack cooler and maybe lay two lawn chairs across it.Has anyone tried some kind carrier attached to the rear?I'm guessing (2)6-packs 9lbs.,cooler 5lbs.,ice 3lbs.,and 2 chairs 8lbs. total approx 25lbs.Oh and plus carrier. And assuming i"m on a trip and luggage area is full.

That looks like a great idea for what you are looking for. Might even be something I would like to have for those trips when I don't want to pull my trailer.

Just as a friendly reminder though, the tongue-weight maximum is 40 pounds on a RTS.

Do a search on this site for pakit rak, for some different threads on adding a rack.

Here is just one of many.

Bmwlarry, I keep this picture because I want to add a rack for when a trailer is a little overkill. I also like the way you setup the trailer harness nice and clean looking. I am working on my winter project, rebuilding and old pull behind trailer. It will be ready for Spyderfest. I hope you didn't mine me using your picture.

:2thumbs:
Question:
Do those "goosenecks" require any additional bracing since the loading on them is now coming from a different direction? :dontknow: :opps:
