Just got my wheels, hub, and sprocket back from the powder coaters and thought I would post a few pics. I powder coated all the metal parts 2-winters ago and always wanted to do the wheels to finish the blacked out look. This is called wet black. It is shinier than gloss black and yes they do look wet. I love the way they turned out.

I will post some pics later when I get them on the Spyder.

No. It is about the only thing that is not. I have a black leather cover over it but the end does stick out. If I would have been thinking I would have. Can`t believe I didn`t.

Thanks for all the comments!

You might as well take it off now and get it done. Now that I mentioned it, it's going to bother you until you do. :roflblack:

I think that pazzo racing does custom clutch levers in pretty near any color you'd like!
You're going to have to get some GloRyders with the remote control so that you can find that bike at night... :roflblack:

They came out incredible. Love the high gloss black. Powder coating produces such great results.

I recently purchased a low cost powder coat gun and powder coated my Rivco floorboards black to match the RS-S color scheme. They came out perfect.

Powder coating is easy, much easier than painting and it cost less than $175 for the equipment. Next I'm going to powder coat the wheels to my car.

I don`t have the glow riders yet but they are on the list. I do have enough black light to do the job. They do not show up well in pics but a total of 25 ft. of black lights and about 60 hours tearing everything apart to do it. Other than the ones in the headlight in the pic you can not see any of them, only the light from them.62733

If it's not too forward of me, I would be curious to know what the cost was for the front wheels. I have a younger brother who has an older ElectroGlide with aluminum wheels that have really corroded over time. I had suggested he have them powder coated as I thought that might be cheaper than buying new wheels.

Thanks CyncySpyder, that is a great complement. Hope you can do yours soon if that is what you want.
As far as price it was $240.00 out the door but that was a little extra to have the factory coating removed with acid and only brush blasted vs only blasted and the wet black was a little more than gloss black. He did say his normal price for a wheel was $50-$70.

Love the look you have going on the RT, those wheels look awesome. Im getting my Rt back next week and im having my wheels powder coated as well. Either a translucent orange or a copper like color, also going to powder coat some front end fender parts cant wait. Man I should have got the black, but I can work with the white lol.

Thanks, if you are getting them done for the Spyder in your avatar my vote is for translucent orange with the silver under coat.

Hey StriperKing, that is the rt im doing the work on and I was kind of going that way with the color. The powder coat guy here says it will look better with the silver undercoat and the translucent orange. We are going to do the windshield bracket see how it looks then if I like it im doing the wheels and other things. Its amazing how changing the color of the wheels on your Rt changes the entire look of the bike. Winter here sucks but at least I have a heated garage and can do all this work and there is no riding down time.
