After seeing the toyhauler recently listed for sale, I figured here must be others out there that have some neat way of hauling their Spyder and also having some living facilities. Below are a few pics of the one I built. Sorry, I don't have any pics of the Spyder in the back garage, but there is my Seadoo jet boat!
It only took four years and two trips to the emergency room.
Let the questions begin!

You can tell by all the tools and junk in the one pic that this was built in my driveway and when it starts snowing in northern Ohio, you just tend to throw everything inside out of the weather and dance around it until the spring thaw comes....

Nice job very professionally done:bowdown::firstplace: . The last picture explains why your boat fits in your toy hauler, cause its one big toy hauler.:clap:

Let's see more!

The wife and I are thinking about traveling a bit in the future with either our bikes or spyder. We are currently deciding between either a truck/toyhauler combo or a class C motorcoach with trailer. I'm leaning towards the latter, since the trailer ramp is lower than the ramp angles in some of the toyhaulers we've seen and the overall length might be shorter.

Here are a couple more pics. That is a custom graphics wrap on the exterior. Used to be all black. I have been asked to build one for a buddy....ain't gonna happen! Many hours and many trips to Elkhart, IN to get parts from the surplus stores. This thing is just a Spyder...we have to give tours and answer questions wherever we go. I am usually asked what I am hauling. My usual response is "radioactive waste" or "go-go girls". That gets me some strange looks.

The tow rig is a 2011 Chevy 3500 LTZ crew cab dually with the Duramax Diesel and Allison transmission. Just set the cruise at 70 and go!

That is really nice !!!!!!! Great job. I built one from scratch like you but it is nowhere as big or as nice as that one. Fantastic !!!!!!!

I hope to God you are required to have a CDL licence to haul a 44' trailer around. I would not want an average Joe out on the road with that monster. nojoke

No CDL required. I had it re-titled as an RV and as such no CDL is required.

All of the cabinets and moldings were made from rough cut lumber that we milled ourselves.

Wow.... thats amazing you don't need a CDL. With your truck attached, your almost as long as a 18 wheeler. :yikes:

Regardless, your work is top notch. I'm to embarresed now to even think about showing my homeade toyhauler ever again.... :roflblack:

Been asked several times what I do for a living. Well, I have been a full-time police officer for 26 years. I also am the director of operations for a company that does crime scene and trauma clean-up, bio-hazard removal, meth lab remediations, mass lead abatement and a bunch of other really neat things. I also do upfits on emergency vehicles (radio & light installs). I was a mechanic at a large GM dealer before I got into all of that other stuff. My degree is in automotive engineering, but mostly I am just a guy that likes to make something out of nothing. People tell me that I am a few fries short of a happy meal....they just might have something there :)

I saw your Spyder at your camp site but didn't see any way of getting it there. Where do you keep it on the road or do you ride it and have someone else drive the rig?:roflblack:

Here's mine. It's a Dutchman Voltage 3200. 37ft long with a 10 ft garage. It still new. We took possession in November. Waiting for warmer weather and more time.

Here is a dealer video tour of the Voltage 3200. Very similar to ours. We have a 4 section leather recliner in place of the basic sofa, quartz counter-tops, a double door over sized refrigerator, a second air conditioner, ramp/deck package with awning, etc etc.. We will have it at the owner's event and at the BBQ.

I have a 40 ft. Forrest River All American Sport with a 10 ft. Garage. It's a 2006 that has been used only 8 times. Fully loaded and even has the Big Foot automatic self leveling system installed. Has generator with only 80 hrs. On it. I'm going to sell it for $25k. Books for $34k. It has 3 slide outs and is a triple axle, air ride.If anyone is interested they can pm me for pics.
