what kind of coolant can I use other than what BRP offers?

Any 50:50 ethylene glycol based (green) coolant labeled as safe for aluminum engines. The pre-mixed stuff is better unless you have your own deionized water to mix with the straight stuff.

I use the 50/50 mix safe for aluminum.
