Wondering if it'll keep with the snowmobile...Thinking it wouldn't be as stable but it's certainly interesting..

if you want a SNOWMOBILE, BRP makes those too....
why would anyone want to ruin a perfectly good SPYD3R...?

Don't think the horsepower of the spYder is enough to keep up with the sleds we run today. The track is not going to be enough to handle the snow we get, not enough surface area. Would be interesting to try out with the right trail/snow conditions. Just my thoughts.

I don't know, why would anyone even think about adding anything to a spyder. I know mine is bone stock. :roflblack:

Somewhere way back when, I read that BRP/Can-Am's original concept (it was in design for seven years before it went to production) of what we ryde today started out as transforming hybrid of a snow and road vehicle. In summer, you put the wheels on. In winter, you put the skis and rear tread on.

The result: Repeated failure ... It couldn't get out of R&D. Therefore, the Spyder was developed purely as an on-road vehicle. Maybe what we see in the pic is an earlier prototype?

Hmm.

Don't know much about snowmobiles but don't they run variable speed clutch systems. Must be something getting used to shifting. Be like shifting your sea doo too...:roflblack:

Notice how much snow the machine is sitting in. We wouldn't think about running our sleds in that little snow. That machine wouldn't get to far on the amount of snow on our trails, and you better pray you don't go off the trail. probably would work okay on 5 inches or less of snow, I wouldn't go out of the garage with it on more than 5 inches of snow.
