My ST-S arrived today and I will take delivery tomorrow.

I can't tell you how stoked I am.. I remember seeing a red RS about 5 years ago going from LA area to Las Vegas and thinking it was one of the coolest machines ever.

Fast forward to last year and I bought my first 2 wheeler and once I saw the ST I was sold!

Now I have to find that Spyder delivery checklist I thought I saw on here once upon a time. C'mon search button!

Congrats! We need an emoticon of a smiley face that is green with envy.
If we had one, that's the one I'd use right now!

Holding our breath. . . . . waiting for a call from our dealer......

Meanwhile, let us hear what you think of it after you get some miles on it.

How's the seat?

How's the sound? Muffler AND tunes

We wanna hear all about it!!!

I'm only 53 miles in (6 on the odo at delivery). I've been riding on two wheels for the last 18 months (Harley Sportster but primarily a Honda CBR), first Spyder.

Impressions so far:

Seat-is so much more comfortable than my CBR. Feels like I'm sitting on a Dr Scholls gel shoe insert. I didn't realize how uncomfortable the saddle on my CBR is.

Muffler- is quieter than I'm used to. Then again, I'm used to a screamin' eagle and yosimura exhaust. Sounds good though but I'll probably switch to something with more of a roar down the road.

Ergos- will take some more miles to get used to.

Engine- thanks to the great posts about rpm's on this site, the engine purrs and really has a ton of power. So far, I'm most impressed with the engine.

SE5- need to get better at downshifting manually. Also, took me a bit to be able to find the downshift "button" every time with the correct finger. I found myself pushing the back of the + button.

Steering- again, need more miles but I understand when the effects of the "death grip" kick in and how to correct.

The biggest thing that got me was lane position. I'm so used to riding in the first or third position, that I have to relearn to ride in the center.

More to come in 100 miles.

It sounds like you are doing pretty good for a newbie. Lane position is a big thing for a 2 wheeler to learn but you'll get used to it pretty quickly.
