I was working in the garage and sliped between the can am and FZ1 and the antena broke on the can am. Has anyone seen a better antena that will flex more than the stock one? I should have moved some bikes, but with 5 of them and a car it gets tight.

Walmart sells a shorty antenna that works well on the RT. Cost is about $10.00.

I have that one and love it.
Does anybody happen to know the manufacturer and model on that one? Mine also broke.

I snapped mine as well 3 weeks ago on a short overnight trip.I saw a Walmart found the $10 aerial black all rubber for approx $10 in the automotive section.Installed looks and works great.Did not look who made it.

I use the Walmart one also. I believe it is made by Scosche and runs $8.99.

Do you have to replace everything or just the whip part if you switch to the Walmart shorty ant?

Less than $10 including delivery, and Amazon had it at $40. Thanks for the tip!

I like to put flags on my antenna & the rubber versions don't work. The Kwelmetal (ESI??) shorty is much better than stock in all ways, and is perfect for my flags.

Thanks for the tip, got one at Wally world today and put it on. We could get all the same stations as before.
Should not be an issue when we ride the hill country as we have XM Raidio for trips. Jim

I got my shortee from ESI. They're a sponsor. I have the chrome one and have had no problems.

Two years and aging, with no rust. But then, I don't ride in the rain….
