I was able to recover my Garmin 660 GPS after my accident, but not the mount or wiring. The tech, while putting together my 2013 RT-S was kind enough to install a 12 volt outlet where my left speaker is. (battery is now up front).

My question is what all do I need besides the Kewl Metal, uh, thing a ma jig, that holds the actual GPS? Obviously I'm gonna need some kind of wiring that goes from the GPS to the 12 volt outlet? (quit laughing).

Any info to this guy would be greatly appreciated.

(edited portion) My GPS 660 was bought from BRP when I had the BRP mount, etc.

If you need the Garmin mount, I would use this and hard wire the power.

You can buy the GPS mount and connecting wires from BRP for $125-150 (silver, chrome, or adjustable). You can buy the Garmin cradle/harness from GPS City for $50. Then you are good to go.

Earlier I mentioned that I had a Garmin 660 GPS, but didn't have the cradle/holder or the connecting cord. I also mentioned that when building my spyder the tech installed a 12 volt outlet on my left speaker. I called Garmin today and I can buy the cradle/holder (for a car) with the connecting cord having a cigarette style connection. Admittedly the holder is "suction cup" style, but I think this will work. $50.00 total for the above.

Anyone know if the non-BRP Garmin Zumo 660LM (life time maps) will fit on the new RT? It's $300 cheaper than the BRP branded one.

Yes, it will fit. The BRP Zumo 660 is the same but comes with the handlebar mount and BRP wireing harness connector cable.
