Hi Everyone Dave here.... I travel the country coast to coast and beyond a lot all year round
Being a motorcycle rider for over 55 years I tend to notice motorcycles and three wheelers
maybe more than most people...
SO where are all the CanAM Spyders out west ? I see them in the north east the south east
and the mid west also down south as well...
But in Washington, Oregon and California they are very few and far between.
I get people almost daily ask me "what the hell is that thing" I never saw one before.
I went to a run put on by the BRP dealer in Lodi, CA a few months ago and there were
only about 40 of them there maybe not even that many. I see photos posted here on this forum from Texas, Florida, Tenn, New York and other east states I see hundreds of them... At the same time if I hop on my motorcycle here and go to a run it is normal to see hundreds of bikes out here in the west SOooooo
What gives? is there not enough advertising done out west or not enough dealers, or ???
How about some input from all of you out there who have the answers or maybe you have also
noticed the same as I that they are rare out here...
Ride Safe Everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR. :joke:

I have ridden 55,000 miles on my Spyder and I would bet I have not seen a dozen of them out on the road. But there is hope. I have probably seen eight of those in 2012.

I am not a biker but my general sense is that people buy bikes and don't ride them. I can't quite understand that but its a free country. Or as Yogi Berra would say," If people don't want to come out to the ballpark, there is nothing you can do to make them stop."

I have ridden 10,078 miles since April of 2012. We have a local chapter here in Oregon/Washington. I think last time I counted we have 38 spyders active in our group. We usually have a ride or two each month if the weather is not TOOOOOOO bad.

Why don't you send me your info, email and phone if you wish, and I will forward that info to our SRA sister chapters in Sacramento and San Francisco. They are very active. Recluze lives practically next door to you I believe. Las Vegas also has a chapter. They love ryding.

Give me a shout next time you are in Las Vegas. Our group ride is the 1st Saturday of the month and we meet for dinner every other Wednesday.

We live about 15 miles southeast of Seattle. Spyders are few and far between here. In fact, whenever I see one I get a little over the top, almost standing up and waving both arms:yes: I believe there are 3 or 4 dealers within about 60 miles of us. So don't exactly know of any particular reason why their few and far between. There does appear to be more east and southeast Spyderlovers on here
all the time though.;)

Well we like to say that Manteca=Butter since we have a lot of dairies around here. Our motto is, "Come to Manteca and Smell Our Dairy Air."

We can ride sometime as I am out often. A wee bit cold and wet right now. I often make a loop around Lake Tulloc or ride the hills west of Patterson. West Point and the Shenondoah Valley are rides that take me up into your area.

Email me at bobnaquin@verizon.net.

There is a bay area group that is quite active too. They are centered around Tracy and Livermore. There is an ice cream social this Sunday. Brrr. Spydergirl runs that lot and they are active once or twice a month.

DesertSpyder I am sure I will be down Rt 66 one more time in this life so I will have to look you up.

I ride most every weekend up here in Lynden WA, I usually head south but up to BC now and then. I usually see a couple spyders a month, especially near the larger cities in our area...

Hey.. Happy New Year, hope we meet up soon.

I have driven 36,000 miles living in south Monterey County. Only one in the area. Have not seen very many spyders outside of planned rides. I wish there were more dealers and I said that to the Can Am rep at the San Mateo Motorcycle show.

Im with you. I live in Sman Diego ca. And since buying mine, I think I've only seen 3, I am told by the dealership that there are several but I can't find any group or notifications that talk about themselves.

There's a very active chapter of the SRA in SD. I'm sure the prez, George aka Pincushion, will be getting ahold of you. If you have Facebook you can locate all the Spyder Ryder of America chapters.

San Diego went on a 215 mile ride today (I think one-way), and did not let the rain stop them. I went the short way, and rode only 55 miles each way. I only had to deal with rain the last 40 miles
