We Only got 2 bucks this year, 8pt and a 9pt Plenty of bears running around though!
I enjoy just walking around the property [1300 acres] and spending a few days with nature'
I really don't care if i see a buck or not, After 50+ years hunting the thrill is gone.
Besides the deer would have to wake me, Before I'll even see them when I'm in the woods.

 That's too heavy of a caliber to use on deer; too much spoilage of perfectly good venison!

That's why i only use a 45/70 (500g) Single shot.
This way the Buck can't hide behind trees. :roflblack:

I knew a guy who used to hunt woodchucks with either a .375 JDJ or a .45-70 on his Contender58847 for that very reason; they can't burrow deep enough, fast enough to escape! :yikes:

I thought that New Jersey was shotguns only... :dontknow:

Bow and shotgun only For good reasons Hunting space is limited so your hunting mostly in peoples backyards [with permission], I don't hunt in NJ, I only hunt in NY {Narrowsburg} We own 1300 acres
and the nearest house is about 2 miles away.

The season in Jersey Starts in Sept and ends the end of Feb.
The state wants to eliminate all the deer, In my zone you have to shoot at least one Doe before you can get a buck,
But you can shoot as many Does as you want.

 I had to ask; I figured if you pulled those big shells out in Jersey they'd probably lock you up, and then throw away the JAIL!
