Help, I've lost the thread on changing oil on the RT. I can't find it in the search box, either. If someone has it, please post it. Thanks!

Thanks MouthPiece, that's the one. The previous one was just how to remove the new panel. Perfect timing. I put her up on the ramps and pulled the panels and need to make sure I do this in the right order. Wish me luck!

Well, it only took me 3 hours to change it, but change it I did, LOL. I still have to put the panels back on, but that shouldn't take too long. The only dumb thing I did was to put too much oil in. Now I have to wait for it to cool down so I can loosen the drain plug and drop the level. I started turning it and then realized that the oil was pretty warm and with my luck the plug would have dropped out and it all would have drained out because I couldn't put it back in due to the temp.

I highly recommend that you drill that hole in the panel in order to get to the one socket head screw on the tranny filter. It's almost impossible to do with out that. Also, with all of the different Allen and Torx that I have, none seemed to be the right length. Before draining next time I'm buying some T handle Allens.

Perhaps a turkey baster for lowering the oil?

Chris

Good idea. I'll know better next time. I was expecting it to take a full 4 qts, but it took just under.
