My spyder was properly parked across the street from the conch train depot on Duval street in Key West. The rear car on the train caught the left front fender of my spyder while the train was turning into the depot. I called my dealer and it loóks like it will cost $560.00 to replace the fender and supports. Anyone planning a trip on their spyder will be pleased to find plenty of free motocycle parking near Duval street, the main street in Key West while cars pay a high price for parking. The motorcycle officer that did the accident investigation did a súper job and loved the spyder.

I can't wait to ryde my Spyder down there in the spring. Key West is one of my favorite places. It's crazy and exciting, but relaxing at the same time.

I thought per chance it may have been some of those motorcycle dudes you ran into awhile back at that bar. :yikes:

Did they submit this claim to their insurance on your behalf?
If you were "properly parked"; the repair bill falls to them...
Good luck and let us all know how this works out!

I got a call from their insurance company yesterday and my dealer submitted the estimate to them this morning. We had a great time in Key West. We had lunch at a restaurant called Blue Heaven that was outside in a court yard surrounded by huge banyon trees. Chickens were pecking at our feet, a nice cool breeze, cold beer and great food. Come on down. I was thinking of in the future seeing if there would be interest in a spyder poker run to Key West starting in Key Largo. Talk to You later.

I was down I may for 10 days, it was great with nice weather. From here in NE Georgia it about a 2,000 mile round trip. On the way back we stopped and went on a air boat tour, and saw alot of wild life. Sorry to hear about your Spyder Bob.

I was born in Augusta and completed high school and college there. It is a fer piece too Georgia and back from the Keys.
I am seeing more spyders on the road here now with the cooler weather. We have low 60's at night and mid 70's in the day. That can not be more perfect for bike ridding.
Yesterday there was a toys for tots ride and an endless stream of bikes that took 30 min. to pass by me at 45 mph with police escort. This was the most bikes I have ever seen here. And there were a few spyders in the group.
