First, understand I'm no mechanic, wrencher, technician, or Mr. Wizard. Having said that, I'd say DPS.

The bike pulled to the right after you hit a ridge in the blacktop... http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_12_12.gif
Are you sure that it wasn't you getting shifted around in the saddle as a result, and adding some unintended steering input?

Okay! I wasn't sure of what it was that happened...
You were towing your 622 at the time? Could a crosswind have tweaked it enough so that the tail wagged the dog a bit?

I doubt it was the trailer. Even in high winds I've never had the trailer get jiggity on me.

:welcome: to the site. I don't have a good answer. If it continues its the :ani29: and not the road. I would have things checked out.

I'd check the front end over to make sure that what should be tight; is!
A-arm mounting bolts
Shock mounts
tie-rod ends
anti-swaybar connections
I might have missed one; but that's a good start.

That's the power steering unit...
There was a recall for this issue back in 2010.
