This one was in Panama City last weekend...55977 not quite as sporty-looking as the one you saw in Daytona, though.

Do you know if it was a leaning trike or a stationary front end like the spyder?

Let's face it:
It it's a reverse trike that you want, there may only be two viable choices...
Spyders
and
"Those that shall not be Named"...

Anything else, and you're just whistling Dixie!

Does anyone have anymore info on that reverse trike? who makes it, is it a leaning trike or is it like the spyder with a fixed suspension with power stearing? What motor is on it?

What patent?

Well obvioiusly, the 'BRP is the only company allowed to build a reverse trike' patent of course! Where have you been Doc! You're usually up to speed on all of this stuff...

Are you sure that in the US PTO "there is no prior art"?
One day I'm going to hear that they have the patent for the Tilting Steering also.

I love it. I'm really into reverse trikes. Plan on owning multiple. Looking at buying the GG Taurus. Keeping the spyder though.

I am a new recruit in the Piaggio fold. If I didn't already own a Spyder, I would have considered this.

Instead I have the Spyder for 3 wheel riding and I bought a BV250 so I can play on two wheels.

two years ago the local Harley Dealer gave me a Piaggeo to ride for the summer just to get it on the road and get people to see it. I just couldn't get use to having nothing between my legs:opps: (no tank) Trust me as the proud owner of a 2012 Viper Red RT SE there is NO comparison.

I duno, if you're talking reverse trike layout I still kind of like the original. The T-Rex (preferably with a Busa motor and nitrous)

Then again .. if you want to go way back..

While I have almost gone out of my way to dismiss the Roketas in other postings; they do allow somebody to try out a reverse trike that is in a layout most similar to our Spyders.
They might be hamstrung by poor execution; but at least everything is just about in the correct place!

I don't know about that. If you ride a piece of junk you're going to come away with the impression that it is.... a piece of junk. It could easily transfer, in the rider's head, that the platform is also a piece of junk and not worthy of further investigation.

That would be a tragedy.

:clap:I saw that bike when I was down last thursday, it sure was pretty and I remember it at 65k. There were some awesome customs in that same area. Glad you had a safe trip.

:agree: that you have to be careful about letting that happen.
I kind of think that if you iived deep in "Suburgatory" with little chance for escape; they might be fine at 35 mph around Town...
That's if you could get it to run right in the first place! :gaah:
