Hi Guys!
Well now that I've finally got a system that works;, I'm ready to happily plug my I-Pod into the jack in back and rock on to my own favorite tunes...http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_65.gif My question is about leaving that little cracker plugged in... does the Bike keep in charged up? Does it shut if off and on so that my music just isn't running even with the bike turned off?
Thanks!

Yep. Just leave the sucker plugged into the right side outlet. It will stay charged and will shut off by itself once the Spyder goes into 'quiet' mode. Well... quiet except for the throttle body.

Thanks!
I've had the bike for over 2 years; finally got a real I-Pod, and promptly found out that the harness that connected from the jack to the system was buggered up... :gaah: I finally go the bike in for an unrelated issue, and let them take another run at getting it to work for me.
So now we're rockin'! :2thumbs:

I never remove mine, even in the summer when the Spyder is off the charger.

I leave my i-pod plugged in 24/7 no problems at all, love my tunes. Especialy when i turn it up loud and play Wipe Out, or the Stroll, or Dixie, or they are coming to take me away ha ha, etc etc etc

I'm just not thrilled about the iPod interface. Sucks that I can't choose a specific artist or album while riding.

Hold the right button in for a few seconds and it will scroll through play lists. Works like a charm...Thats the right button between the volume buttons

our i pod is plugged in 24-7 ...if by chance it does loose its charge while in the trunk , plug it back in , start the bike go for a ride and in a couple of minutes it will have enough of a charge to start playing again.. it will show up on your screen as aux and then switch to i pod by it self and then start playing automatically...and by the way still using the same i pod that came with the bike...it only gets unhooked to change the music...
