Was feeling a bit in the dumps today, as I found out Friday that my youngest daughter is confirmed to be sent to Afghanistan in January, and figured some bike therapy could do me good. There was a PGR welcome home today for a group of Marines, and figured that would do the trick. So after riding 90 miles to welcome them home, and another 90 miles home. I felt much better.

Best of luck and God bless your youngest. Hopefully the deployment will end early with a withdrawal.

Welcome homes are always a good mission. Special thanks to your son.

Great Pics! We send 'em of but watching them come home is the greatest. Please tell your son "Thank-you" and we will always have his back!

My wife and I rode a PGR welcome home mission last night. It is the most enjoyable mission that PGR does to see the families reunite.

Thank you for the well wishes. While talking (Skype) with her my wife asked her if she was scared? She replied "no, ask me in December" :roflblack:.

Also, I am sorry that I forgot to mention that my "youngest" is my daughter. I should have remembered, as even I assume that when someone talks about their kid in the service that they are talking about their son.

Katy (Katie) if my memory serves me.

Yes, her legal spelling is Katie, but she spells it Katey.

Sadly while you are right about Patriotic females, I did forget that most will assume she is a male.
Sadly, one of the first things she realized in the Army is its a "Man's club". At least when she was in basic training it was.
