Fall Color Contest!- Winner gets a free swaybar or plugwires from BajaRon

This is a great time of the year for riding and I love seeing the Fall colors. To get you to post them here on this thread I talked to BajaRon today and he's willing to sponsor this contest with your choice of one of his performance plugwire kits or one of his new swaybars for the RS or RT (when they're done).

The contest will run till the end of October and the winner will be decided by your votes. You can vote on as many pictures as you like and if you click on the "Thanks for this post" and the "Like this post" it will count as two votes so if you really like one of the pics you can do that.

The rules are pretty simple.

Your picture must include your Spyder or another Spyder in the picture
The picture must be from this year, no digging up your old pics for the contest
You can post as many pictures as you like as long as they meet the rules above.


When you post your pictures it's best to post them full size so it's easy to see (not thumbnails). Please don't post huge pics that blowout the screen. If that's all you have you can resize them here and then upload them and post. http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

actually my girlfriend their daughter of course was driving her rocket on that road and has spun out on dirt so is a little leery of driving on it even though she massively underestimates her own riding ability, her new bike is a 01 honda rc51 in the above pics, a huge upgrade from the 96 fzr 600 she was on in this pic. I should have took some yesterday on islandview dr nw, yesterday was my 5 year to the day of when I fell off and got hurt and I was on that road when I did it. I got thru the corner I got hurt on at double what I was going when I crashed so that really sucks.

Best part (&best color) of this road is an area with a tunnel of maple trees, guardrails, and no shoulder...not good for photo stops...but beautiful to ride.

Not a photographer but having some fun with this contest. Took the photo this morning. The colors in the picture are not as vivid as the real thing. For many years I tapped many of the maple trees and cooked the sap over a wood fire to make syrup. Not anymore as we winter down south and don't return north until the snow is all gone. 54475

It finally stopped raining around here, so I went for a ride today and took a couple of pictures in my local area. It was about 48F while out on the road. I was dressed warm with heated gear and all, so I stayed comfortable. I did meet a group of spyder riders near the Canadian border. I assume that is where they had come from. It sure was a pleasant day to be out on the spyder. It was also good to see other riders out as well.

I did not check the picture(s) for eligibility so just because an entry is listed here does not necessarily mean it will qualify under the rules (I'll let someone else do the weeding out).

.....I noticed that because there are two categories in which to enter your vote, many people are voting in both categories. Since I assume that your vote will only count once, this just makes it harder to count the votes correctly. It would make things easier if you only voted in one or the other category. That way we don't have to weed out your 2nd vote.

Spent a week riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and assorted other blacktops around Asheville. Stopped by several fall festivals. This pic of the silver RT is from the street festival in Waynesville NC on October 20. Local Methodist church sponsored pumpkin sales at their "Pumpkin Patch." Took the pic when the tourist traffic eased up a bit. Lucked up and hit the peak of color change at 3500 feet and below. Higher elevations had mostly leafless trees.

So Judy wants a new sway bar also...so she took these this past Sunday also.

One that was overlooked, Judy's favorite one and is now my desktop background. Reminds me on these crappy days of the great ride we had that day.

Well, there are no fall colors where I live in Phoenix! But at leaset my Spyder is orange! I just took these the other weekend :)

The reports say 12 inches of snow here in the NC mountains. It is hard to tell how much due to the winds. There are snow drifts several feet deep around the house. I will be skiing this weekend in the morning and then maybe a ryde in the afternoon.

shucks, I was waiting for the am for this red berry fall foiage.. with the CA RS in front.. .. oh well.. will post anyway.. this gives me more time..
