Did they fix the throttle by wire throttle bodies or are they the same problem ones that are on the RTs.:dontknow:

Looks like RS-S is just now RS with all the goodies of the RS-S and more...??? If so that's great for the consumer.

I'm getting all sorts of nervous...
I need to see some actual specs; did they widen the bike out to RT dimensions with the suspension and wheel changes?

I was hoping for increased fuel capacity....:(

The RS-S has:
New carbon black six twin blade spoke front wheels
New lighter but stronger chassis
New front fenders for improved looks and aerodynamics
The bars are now 1" higher than the previous years.
It's gets the new frontend geometry and suspension too.
Brembo brakes, larger disk.
New handlebar controls with LED lighting
15" front wheels with low profile tires
Fly by wire with improved fuel economy
Electronic cruise control

Awesome!! I've got to get those fenders. Any idea if they would fit on the older model RS, more specifically mine?? :)

I thought that might happen. I'll stick with my 2010 but if those blade wheels fit I might just have to get a set.

GoT DanGiT!!!:banghead: Just purchased an out-of-state, new 2011 RS-S leftover in my favorite Copper Orange/Matte Black color, (since I really disliked the 2012 colors). When I finally pulled the trigger, I thought... (With my luck, they'll bring the dang color back for 2013 & revamp the whole dang thing)... Great.... There you go:dontknow:.... I REALLY want those fenders as well... and the Wheels too.. My spyder is scheduled to roll off the delivery truck tomorrow afternoon.. Can't Wait, & now....Can't wait to retrofit all the 2013 parts onto my 2011 (I want EVERYthing). I also purchased the Hindle exhasut & now see that the exhasut looks different too... Anyone know if the sound is any different, or does it just LOOK different?

That Green is starting to grow on me; do you think that they'd ever throw a pail full of that color on an RT or ST??

Will it be the same by-wire throttle as ones on RT? :(

There's nothing wrong with the fly by wire throttle on the RT. throttle response is instant.

Hopefully, it was changed from 2010 models. Ones I test rode in 2010 had a lag or delay when you get on the throttle, enough to be biggest reason that turn me away from RT.

 Something wrong with that bike... Mine is currently acting a bit wonky; yet the throttle response is still better than a cable-equipped setup...

That one was a dud...unless your rpm was too low and your lag was actually a case of bogging down. Take another test ride someday, and see the difference.

Lamont, when might we know about downward compatibility?

Thx guys. Ones I rode had a big, may be like 1/3-1/2 of second delay before spyder responded. Vance and Hines sell a module to eliminate that delay on few bikes with by-wire throttle so I assumed that's how it was with by-wire throttle.
