Does anyone know of a workaround to the speed limiter spoke of in reviews? Does this limit bother any of you current owners and riders?

BillyT:
I have read somewhere on this site that the Spyder was capable of and had reached a speed of >120 MPH.
So I think that 110MPH speed limit was a bit of an fib on their part...

I was at 107 on the GPS the other day and I know there was a lot more in there but my offramp was comming up so I didn't get to find out how much was left. ::) :spyder:
I have seen 119 come up on my cluster, and others have posted 127 and 129 MPH..
Im under the impression that it is limited at 130 MPH +/- 1-2 mph

i had her at 108 + and I say + because it was faster than that but when I felt comfortable enough to look down thats were she was at. She had much more to give if i wanted.

The 110 mph governor is deffinitely a fib - I ("may or may not" ;D) have seen 118 on my speedo with just nothing left to give. No governor involved.
I have seen 119, I think the RPMS were @ 7500.. I may be mistaken, Its a bit touchy at those speeds, the power steering is way to strong over 90

With only 5 gears... you're not gonna get much more than 120-130 on this bike.
Way too fast for me... I kissed 100 and then brought her back down..... good enough for me.

At 5,000 RPM I am running about 69 mph. The engine red-lines at about 9,500 RPM. If you do the math, the theoretical maximum speed would be around 130 mph.
