I am curious to know where Spyder Ryders place thier E-Z Passes when rYding thier Spyder. Dash Windscreen? Do you use Velcro to attach it? Will it work from inside the storage compartment? I am hoping that I don't have to attach it to the Windscreen, but will do what I have to do.

In Florida they (SunPass) come with suction cups and I just suction it to the inside of my windshield. Works like a charm.

Mine is inside the frunk, mounted via velco on the bottome side of the lid. Out of sight, out of mind.

Mine is also in the frunk, but behind the frunk liner. I unzipped the liner and placed it next to the manuals via Velcro. Work fine, out of sight and can not accidently knock or lose it.

The instructions from NY showed putting on the inside of the windshield down at the bottom. So that's where mine is!! At the bottom of the "V" bracket. Works great there & gets me the lower Thruway tolls for motorcycles.

I did that with mine, but in the heat of the summer, the adhesive gave way and it fell off.
Now I just keep it tucked in one of the mesh pockets in the Front Trunk and it works fine.

Anywhere it is out of sight and no chance of knocking it off and having it damaged. Texas requires a deposit for motorcycles..non-refundable if damaged..The signal is sent/recieved thru any obstacle. Big Brother's monitoring devise will find it no matter where you hide it... "They just want your money"

Underside of the frunk lid. Once in awhile it doesn't trip the light but there are camera back-ups and they just wave me thru.

Hey Danny,
Is there a toll to cross the Kingston/Rhinecliff bridge?
(Sorry about the little hijack...:opps:)

Route 199 over the bridge -- yes, eastbound.

EZ Pass lane is on the left as I recall.

As for mounting, as others have said, mine is inside the frunk, mounted to the backside of the frunklid. No problems in 17K miles.

Thanks guys,
I wasn't sure if it worked through the Frunk. I'll keep it as high as possible with the least amount of "barriers".
I'll be using it mostly in NY. I like the idea of inside the frunk, instead of on the windshield, so it doesn't get "misplaced" when parked.
Now to try it out! (Thanks too, it is good to know that they would 'wave me on' if the light doesn't trip.

Guys, if travelling through NYC, remember that the TBTA crossings have barrier gates, and if your pass doesn't trip them the TBTA police officer will want you to hand him your pass, as will the 20 morons honking behind you. If riding here mount it where you can reach it.

I called the VA office and they said I would have to get a motorcycle transponder that you place in your pocket..and of course it cost extra...I will try to place it in my frunk liner and test it out..

EZ Pass is in the frunk, in one of the pockets. :doorag:

? Are all of these EZ Passes that are placed in the trunk stickers that are designed for a windshield or transponders that usually beep when you pass through?

I carry mine in the left pocket of my leather vest, works fine from inside there so it never gets dropped or exposed to the elements.

I had it in my windshield bag [Tri-Glide] A few time it didn't read, So now i attach it to the windshield with a suction cup holder for EZ Pass that i got at the Dollar store .
Speaking of the Dollar store, Does it tick you off like it does me that they don't put prices on any of
Their stuff. ;)

Note, if you're in Houston TX and get your tag via HCTRA, you will have to PAY them for the tag.

However, if you go through TxDOT and get their tag, not only will it be good for Toll roads all over the state, they don't charge you for the tag if you setup for auto-pay.

Just fyi.
