Interesting how Kelly Blue Book doesn't have any price data posted for 2012 RT's (http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail/2012/can_am/), but does for nearly every other manufacturer? I'm not sure how used prices are determined; however, I thought KBB was a trusted used price resource. I'm now starting to wonder if manufacturers are controlling the used price market. Especially considering the 2013 annoucements haven't come out yet! With all the recent price drops of the 2012's left in the dealerships, I'd think the used market would be dropping nearly twice as fast!! Just saying...

KBB has to have enough data to calculate average prices. There can't be many used 2012 RTs out there...if any. Consider it a conspiracy theory if you wish, but many other low production vehicles end up without listings on KBB or NADA.

IMHO, I think when the 2013s debut, the 2012s will show up in the blue book or NADA books.

It was at least 2009 before used prices showed up for the 2008 Spyders. Even then, it was more ballpark than scientific, since the vehicle was new to the market.

Right now with the 2013's coming out and new 2012's being heavily discounted it would be impossible to set a realistic price on a used 2012. Anyone who has a used 2012 would have some stiff opposition out there in the new market. Six months ago an RT-S would most likely have been around $27,000. Now a new one may go for $3,000 to $4,000 less. I don't think anyone would want to sell a used one for $18,000? The good news is that six months from now when the new 2013's come out at a higher list price, say around $28,000 to $30,000 the used 2012's will rebound to $23,000 to $25,000 due to supply and demand marketplace pressures.

Just give them the time necessary to collect some data and they'll happily post it... :bbq:

A brand new 2012 RT is going for 18k on ebay so people need to keep it real about used prices when they want to sell. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Can-Am-RT-2012-Can-Am-Spyder-RT-models-/271056778829?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item3f1c3e364d
