Just wondering where the totals are falling at? I have a 'doc' fee, 'freight' fee, and 'assembly' fee in my invoice.

My Invoice has no fees at all.. My dealer says that they never charge assembly fees, why start now?

Any dealer that is charging the delivery, assembly, and any other fees is ripping you off. Ill post a scan of My invoice asap.. also action jet sports will be retailing online.. Buy from them if you get a chance.. Talk to John, he is the sales manager.

I've spent this morning calling all the So Cal dealers...all are saying they are charging freight/assembly. Thanks for your response. I am suppose to pick mine up tomorrow.

FYI - here in sunny OZ (Gold Coast Queensland Australia) I am told I will be paying $25,990 aus (around $22,100 US) - not including on road costs (registration etc) for a silver one- no accessories.

I am told February delivery but from watching this forum I am not hopefull.

Still we have great weather for riding almost all year round (gets a bit hot for ATGATT around Christmas though)

UPDATE- took delivery of #930 and with accessories, freight etc $27,000 US

I was told by my closest dealer that the cost would be $14,995. But then it would be an extra $1,000 for yellow, and then another $600 or so for the Automatic model. Is this too high? Please let me know what pricing you all are gettting. Thanks.

Greed knows no international boundary's. I have thoroughly researched these figures and have been given firm quotes. Spyder $15000 , dealer delivery and setup $1600, crate and freight to port $550. Total US$17150 at current conversion rate (AUS$1.11 = US$1.00) makes AUS$19036 on the boat. Freight to Australia including DOTARS permit $600, gst $1964, registration compliance (including parts) for non ADR bike $250. That gives a total of AUS$21850.......... $4140 less than the retail price here in oz (bearing in mind I've used FULL RETAIL PRICE from the US !!!). CANAM Australia may try and make hero's of themselves and reduce the retail price a little when the bike is actually released...but businesses will still be making huge profits out these in Australia. So my message is do your homework and shop around or just bend over and take it up the tailpipe like most shoppers do

Hi Everyone. I'm in Northern California and I was on the waiting list to get one and the dealer called me up today. I was expecting to pay around 17K out the door but found out they wanted to charge me a $4,000 delivery charge ONTOP of the $15,599 MSRP!!! Freight was also calculated to be $400. California tax of 8.25% would be $1,287 and the out the door price would come out to be a whopping $21,285!

I think the dealership is trying to rip people off. Any other people agree with me?

I was ready to get the thing on the spot and even applied for a loan and the best that they could find was a 14.25% APR loan making my payments of $350 / month with no money down. I found it shady that they didn't tell me what my credit score when I asked because I was able to get this info when I applied for a loan on my car. I have excelent credit and the last I checked it was a 720 credit score.

I'll agree with you. Seems like most of these shady dealer reports are coming out of California. I am just praying that my dealer doesn't turn into one of the greedy ones and try to take advantage of us vulnerable Spyder owner wannabes.

Glad I'm not in line yet...

But come to think of it, when the M109R first arrived at the dealers, one quoted me $15,995 before all the stealer fees. Said it was a "market write up" because their was such a high demand for them. I gave them the finger and went elsewhere.

I know doing this is much harder with the Spyder since the number of dealers is limited at present. So you pretty much got to ask yourself if you have to have it now or can wait a few months.

Pros: You get a unique build number with your Spyder. And your Spyder should retain it's value better.

Cons: You pay extra for that unique build number. You get to experience all the first year recalls and other fixes that everyone that buys first year production models experience.

Hi Everyone!
Picked mine up yesterday 12/14/07 out the door here in NY with sales tax, reg, title, set up and delivery and NY State inspection it was $15,145.00 I ordered mine 4/1/07 and just got it now. I got a deal back then as I was one of the first "3" they were going to get in and I do buy several Sea-Doos and Bikes from them each year. However, any Dealer who has any left you can order around here is getting much more money now and all are charging a shipping and set up fee.

I paid $17600 for mine out the door, there was a set up fee and several other fees. the bike should have 15,200 for the yellow plus 7% sales taxes. plus i must have gotten one that was turned down by someone else as i ordered mine on oct 29th 07 and got it on feb 9 08. so he made an extra 1000 on top of what he got from me because someone ordered it and put down 1000 to order it. it is #1004
