Hit 111 on the Spyder temp guage, but cooled to 109 before I got my camera out to take a pic. Spyder ran great in the heat and bars never got too high.

Didn't know we were having a photo contest!:p 121 on the display yesterday and Spyder did fine. Rider's head felt like blowing up, after getting stuck in traffic. The heat was bad enough. The diesel fumes were a different story.:barf:

WHAT!! The RT didn't incinerate your legs? Only 101 here with 100% humidity. A veritable cold wave.

No photos needed. The thought of you riding in this heat is picture enough. :roflblack:

I have had my RT since 2010 and really have no idea what the fuss about engine heat is. Here in Fl, it does get hot outside. I have no mods such as block-off plates etc and NEVER had an issue with a hot right or left foot. No " shoes melting" like I read about on this site. The only thing that gets hot on my spyder is the inside of the glove box, hot enough to send my phone into thermal shutdown.I ride in good old Nike's most of the time and they are holding up real good.

The highest I've seen on the Spyder is 114. I can tolerate that pretty well if I'm moving. The Spyder had no problems with it at all. I've never seen it go above 5 bars.

Now that's just to hot for sleeping, in the 50's here at night.

H A N has gotten bigger than ever, all of the major Casinos have something going on.

No Beach Boys this year however, will miss them, the Hermits sure bring back memories tho. :lecturef_smilie:

Sounds like I should put H A N on the calender for next year. Scooting up 395 is always a great ride. Breakfasts on me

I had a 2010 RT and had no heat issues at all. Just traded for a 2012 RSS and man it is hot on my right foot. I had a 2009 Kawasaki concours 14 and the heat issue from that bike was a big problem to a lot of people but never bothered me so I don't feel that I am very sensitive but the right foot heat on the RS makes it almost unbearable. I just rode 2 hours in 93 degree heat with sidi tall boots dragging jeans and thick socks and I literally have burns on my right foot and it is swollen and red from the heat. I love riding the RS but can't imagine anyone that engineered this machine actually rode it or they would have developed some change to make it bearable. I have had Harley's and other air cooled bikes and they were ice cubes compared to the RS. I don't intend to stop riding it but may have to stop often and stick my foot in a bucket or water or something to keep from 3rd degree burns. I wonder if some just are hotter than others.

SpyderPops heat management kit helps a lot on the RS.

Met a friend for lunch today, parked bike and when I drove off, the check engine light came on. Temp on dashboard indicated 130 but the engine temp was normal four to five bars. Hadn't been riding far to meet him and bikes been running fine. 7800 miles so far, anybody have a clue for a 4 month old 2012 RT A&C? We got all the Spyderpops heat management accessories installed by Harvey himself on our way to Sedalia Mo and had no issues so far.

Digital ambient temp read 130 today then check engine light came on.
