Who knows if there is already any aftermarket manufacturers who're preparing couple of accessories for our baby ?

:welcome:

I have plans for a few things right away.

Front Brake Lever:
I see no reason we can't hook up a lever with linkage that hooks to the rear brake peddle. My Honda 4 wheeler has it and I want it on my Spyder for sure. I already have a Boss Hoss with no clutch lever and I don't need another ride that I have to re-think my riding on.

New Hubs to mount Custom Wheels:
I think it would be pretty cool to make some 4 lug hubs so I can pick my wheels from a list of automotive wheels instead of just one wheel option like they have now. We could even go one size up and with a fender kit put a little bit bigger wheel on it. You could really Pimp My Ride then. ;D

Trailer Hitch:
I have a trailer for my Boss Hoss and my 109 now and there's no reason I can see why the Spyder wouldn't pull my Bushtec trailer just fine. I think we could come up with a really cool looking one that replaces the rear peg mounts. Got to have my trailer.

Fender and Body Kit:
Been talking with a friend of mine that is dying to do a Fender and Body kit for the Spyder. You're going to need one if you go with bigger wheels on the front and I think there will be some cool styling that one can do to the body to make it more of a custom. Here's some of their work. :doorag:

Lights and Gizmos:
I'm sure Lewis with Electrical Connection has some plans for some high power lighting for the Spyder. That $1200 HID option is either a typo or their just nuts. :dontknow: I'm pretty sure he will have a Spyder at his shop pretty soon and there will be all sort of gizmos for the Spyder when he gets done. :doorag: http://www.electricalconnection.com/index2.htm

Personal Mods:
One of the first things I'll do is to find a good place to mount my iWay 600 and XM radio. I've gotten so use to them now that I can't see going anywhere with out them.

I would also like to mount three cameras on the Spyder. I would have two on the back, one to use as a rearview mirror so when I'm taping with the other camera I can see what it's going to look like. Then I would need to mount a good size LCD as my screen on the front to watch the action.

I'll mount a camera on the front too and and keep my Mini DV camera in the trunk. I would carry my laptop with me so I could burn a DVD right on site if someone one wanted a DVD of the ride we just did. Wouldn't that be cool. ;D

I'll be all over one just as soon as they start shipping! Once you get some seat time and find electrical needs, let me know your needs!

Having both a GL1800 bike and Holly having a GL1800 trike. I can tell you I am 100% sure the Spyder is going to be a big time seller!!! The Spyder Accessories will be going wild once the system starts pumping them out in truck loads. This company hasn't gotten as big as it is by making mistakes. :doorag:

Any thoughts on a more "relaxed" riding position for long trips? I have yet to take a test ride but looking at the pictures it sure looks more like a commuter than a long distance cruiser.

:welcome:
I plan on riding mine from the dealer in FL to TN so I'll have 9 or 10 hours on it the first day. I'm sure I'll have some ideas for long hauls by time I get back. ;D I'm sure we can do some sort of highway peg on the Spyder. :doorag:

OK, so I went down to my dealer to just say I was getting itchy waiting and to ask if they stocked any accessories yet.

They didn't, but I did get this catalog, different from the list which came out earlier in the season.
(I scanned every page that had photos with details or prices...)

It's a 15-page pdf which I'll put at the link below just 'cause there are a lot of images, and I didn't want this page on spyderlovers.com to be a beast to load.

Sorry 'bout the fuzziness of the text...

BTW, does anyone's dealer sell any of these items online yet?

Went to the dealer yesterday to order the Riser but he said "hard items" won't be available till after the bike comes out. Being a M109 owner, I recall hearing something like that before.

I'm sure you all saw it already, but the "online catalog" of Spyder accessories is available.

Not exactly an online catalog with ordering capability, etc, it's a scan of the paper catalog.

Granted, the folks at BRP did a better job of scanning it than I did!

Well the Riser is off backorder on 9/19 so it can be ordered. I'm going to have the dealer install when they PDI the bike. $39.95, not bad compared to most motorcycles.
