The red one looks like it would require a "Wide Load" sign on it.

If the quad had four wheel leaning technology, well that would just be too much fun!

1. I think I'd be worried it would slip when leaning on wet pavement.

2. IMHO, that would win :firstplace: in an ugly bike contest.

Thanks!

It's always fun to take a look over the fence to see what the alternatives are...

Gotta be careful, in some states, if you have 4 wheels they want you to meet automotive spec. Some riders ran into this issue installing training wheel setups, like Voyager, to their Gold Wings.

Are those the kits where the original mcy drive wheel remains, and the 2 outboard wheels are just outriggers?

A leaning trike....wow....I must say that it has peaked my interest. I may just have something like this sitting beside my spyder in the future.

Eeep! :yikes:

I really don't like the front end on either of those companies machines with either 3 wheels or 4. Just as a design style they leave a lot to be desired and appeal is 1/3rd to 1/2 of motorcycling. Form must meet function.

The rider in the vid looks like he is compensating the lean way too much, looks like a chore to ride.

Well here's this one to quicken up your pulses again...
The Yamaha Tesseract; it was just an exercise for the engineers to play with.. but WOW!

I don't know about the Tesseract just being a design exercise as Yamaha bought the rights to patents and production of the 4mc technology

And the Tesseract has the "Mantis" style arms at the from like the 4mc. I spoke to the owner of 4mc who was trying to do something with the technology besides a motorcycle so he could cash in more on the development who told me Yamaha had bought those rights. Why? You only buy a technology to use it or block it if you are a vehicle company so I imagine if they thought the had market for it they would have gone ahead, but that could also depend on them having the engineers and the production space and a better return on investment than other products. IMHO.

I think you'll find that if you go to the maker's home page, they build and sell only in Europe and that's the reason they haven't come to the States. They could never get NHTSA to agree that a fourwheeler is a motorcycle and it surely wont meet car specs as it is. I do like that Fatboy though!:bowdown:smoky

No doubt; "Buy it and bury it" seems to happen way too much anymore! :gaah:

I wonder if Harley is still sitting on the Penstar with an eye toward the future; or is it just a footnote in the past? :dontknow:

I followed that QTEC thread and ended up looking at HANNIGANMOTORSPORTS.....Which led to an engineer in Kentucky who has designed and built a two wheel front end ( read that :spyder:) for 1800cc Gold Wings......Mike......
